Transformations - Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Guide - IGN (2024)

There are plenty of transformations to use in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, some even having multiple transformations of their own form. Here are those transformations and the multipliers for them.

Base Form

All characters will use these multipliers as their default, regardless of their stats.

Super Saiyan

The Super Saiyan line focuses on boosted melee attacks with a modest boost to ki attacks. They're faster and will use a "Z vanish" to close in for melee attacks at moderately close-mid ranges. Additionally, some ki attacks (not ultimates) such as the Kamehameha will also use a Z vanish to get right next to the enemy. Be careful, though. As you get into the higher forms, your ki will regenerate slower! Only Saiyans can become Super Saiyans.

Kaioken

Kaioken is a raw power boost that can actually be more powerful than Super Saiyan, but it comes at the cost of draining your stamina. The higher the level you go, the faster the stamina drains, so watch out! Anyone can use the kaioken skill.

Potential Unleashed

Though it requires five ki bars to use and a lot of work, it's overall one of the best transformations in the game. You'll get an overall attack and ki boost as well as increased ki regeneration. Anyone can use this skill. This skill can be unlocked by getting a Z rank on all the Advancement Tests.

Super Vegeta

This version of Super Saiyan focuses more on ki attacks. Otherwise, it is mostly the same other than not having SS3. It is exclusive to Saiyans.

Super Vegeta 2

Future Super Saiyan

This version of Super Saiyan is much like the Potential Unleashed form. It gives a modest boost to your stats while giving you a much faster ki regeneration. Only Saiyans can use this form.

Nimbus

The human awoken transformation can be unlocked by completing the Great Saiymanmissions in the Hercule's House time rift. Only humans can use this skill.

The skill has you jump onto the Nimbus cloud and use the Power Pole/niyo-bo for super fast and powerful attacks!

Super Namekian

This form is exclusive to Namekians and has them transform into massive versions of themselves! With more health and power, they're very dangerous but can be avoided if careful.

To get this awoken skill, you need to complete the patrols that the Nail will give at the Guru's House in planet Namek's time rift.

Pure Majin

Turn into something like Kid Buu by getting this skill. You'll be stronger, faster, and more deadly than before. Only Majins can use this form.

To get this form, you need to feed Majin Buu enough at Majin Buu's House until he makes a few children. There is no set amount of children needed. It's anywhere between two and six children.

Golden Form

The all powerful Golden form used by Lord Frieza can only be used by Freiza's species. To get this stronger, faster form you need to complete all the faction missions on Frieza's Spaceship.

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan

The newest form and the latest update for the Saiyan race is SSGSS or Super Saiyan Blue. To get this form you have to reach level 90 by getting all of the Time Eggs and talking to Guru. You also have to do the missions in his area to talk to him.

Once you have done that you have to talk to Whis and do his advancement test, after doing that make him your instructor. Do parallel and story quest only using him as your partners. (You can see his bar fill up by going to Play Data and to characters and it should be to the right of his name.)

After filling up his friendship bar talk to him where he is near the school. Where he will give u the SSGSS awoken skill. It is very powerful but will drain your Ki slowly and will also turn your hair blue. (Unless you have a accessory on your head.)
