Toyota GR Supra Track Edition on sale in Malaysia - uprated brakes, suspension; 6MT and 8AT, fr RM698k - paultan.org (2025)

UMW Toyota Motor has announced the arrival of the GR Supra Track Edition which goes on sale in Malaysia from RM698,000, and the latest iteration of the brand’s two-seater sports car is available with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Track Edition brings its revisions to the chassis, software and bodywork of the Supra, retaining the current A90 Supra powertrain that is the 3.0 litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine that outputs 388 PS from 5,800 rpm to 6,500 rpm and 500 Nm from 1,800 rpm to 5,000 rpm, enabling a 4.1-second run from 0-100 km/h; the six-speed manual version does the same in 4.3 seconds, according to UMWT.

As the Track Edition, revisions have been applied to the Supra’s adaptive variable suspension (AVS) for more grip, and its electric power steering and limited slip differential for sharper feedback and better stability through high-speed corners.

Aerodynamic alterations worn by the Supra Track Edition include extended tyre spats, aero flaps, and a carbon-fibre ducktail bootlid spoiler for added downforce.

Braking hardware gets a set of front discs which are now 26 mm larger in diameter at 374 mm, clamped by four-piston Brembo calipers finished in red with a GR logo. Also changed in terms of suspension are its front control arms (now reinforced) with added negative camber adjustment, as well as a stiffer stabiliser bar and reinforced rubber bushings.

Rolling stock is as before on the “regular” 3.0 litre Supra, where 19-inch forged alloy wheels are shod in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres measuring 255/35R19 in front and 275/35R19 at the rear.

Inside, the Supra Track Edition in Malaysia gets Alcantara and leather upholstery in black with red contrast elements such as in its seatbelts, contrast stitching and seat insert trim, and the manual transmission-equipped version gets a red ring atop its shift knob.

Driving assistance systems on the Supra Track Edition include pre-collision warning, lane departure warning with steering assist, adaptive cruise control (manual cruise control on the 6MT), blind spot monitoring, and autonomous emergency braking with rear cross traffic alert; also on are tyre pressure monitoring and parking sensors.

Lastly, the 2025 Toyota GR Supra Track Edition is offered in six exterior colours. To recap, the Track Edition starts from RM698,000 in Malaysia, and is covered by a five-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
